NOOOO!!!, unallocated space is not usable! :(

This is what happened, I had windows vista installed, I right clicked my computer, went to manage, and I resized my Drive(C:), so now I have unallocated space, then I accidentally corrupted my windows vista and linux so then I had to format my pc to windows xp, I installed partition magic so I could distribute it, unfortunately to my eyes came a disappointing and heart-breaking discovery(LOL!) I could not create, format, or do anything to the partition other then click on undelete which says "There are no partitions that can be undeleted.". I also found out that the partition said 0 used mb, and 0 unused mb, yet it says 228,573.3 mb as the size(WTF?!). How could I have used an unallocated partition if it doesn't appear in the My Computer browser.
Please help me :(
