yes it is possible, you say you have a fat PSP? is it on 1.5 or Custom firmware?, if it is then you're in luck ^_^

you shall have to create a Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick.. using the fat PSP (and a spare FAT battery for security measures).

put straight to you, you will need:
A Fat PSP (vers. 1.5 or CFW)
A Spare Fat PSP Battery (just incase it can't be converted back)
A Memory Stick between the sizes 64mb and 2gb (doesn't have to be spare, easily recoverable)

PSP, Custom: Crystal Faceplate and UMD Door, Black Backplate
MotherBoard = TA-086 MB(25/12/2005)3.80 M33-5

you cannot downgrade the psp slim to 1.50. the ta-085 motherboard was designed to refuse any firmware that was lower than 3.60.

you still can put custom firmware, by using pandora's battery and universal unbricker v3 memory stick

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

some of the newest slims put out have 3.72 fw, so it may be a bit harder to downgrade

ahhhhh dude dont confuse the poor guy, you can't get the psp to version 1.5, instead you can get it to a Custom Firmware (another form of giving you the ability to run PSP ISOs).

as it can't get lower than 1.5 like cee43 said, the battery has found a way to "Flash" or... simulate the 1.5 firmware onto the Slim PSP, giving it the ability to run ISO's (CSO's too.. etc.)

likewise, to get the Slim PSP to run ISO's, you'll need what i said above..

PSP, Custom: Crystal Faceplate and UMD Door, Black Backplate
MotherBoard = TA-086 MB(25/12/2005)3.80 M33-5

That doesn't sound right. And your battery isn't going to trick the psp into ANYTHING. It's not the battery that holds the fw. You should be able to play those games right on your cfw. Why are you so interested in v1.50? You should have everything you need w/ your cfw.

he's right, besides Custom Firmwares are better for what you need anyways, (if you're only aiming to play ISO/CSO formatted PSP games).

and at the moment, it's all the PSP Slim has got. If you want to go into technical details, such as giving the Slim PSP the ability to run Homebrew aplications, well you'll just have to learn about the "sdk" folder

the basic diffference that makes custom firmwares better, is the fact that version 1.5 can only play old games, custom firmwares allow you to play newer games, as the newer games will obviously require a higher version (so Sony can completely delete all homebrew users -chuckles-).

If you want your homebrew working, you can always get the new eloader by team n00bz. It doesn't run 100% of all homebrew, but it runs quite a few! I still wish Dark_AleX could find a way to make a 1.50 kernel add on for slim users. :(

srry for double post but...
i do want to run older games im not saying the first game that came out for psp but some older ones yes. basically all i need is something i can mod ex: play new games, have vista and run home brew all without having to spend an extra buck
