Can you post a picture of it? if you read the previuos threads, you will see you need a RS232 cable and you can download software for for the box and load straight onto it.

I always have trouble with the KRYPTVIEW epg. it only gives you what on now and what on next (unlike the advertised 7day epg :@) and half the time mine cant pick up the epg information and just says unknown or something =( until i browse some channles or rescan and even then sometimes i cant get any of the epg information up.

Where are you based and what version software u running?

If in Ireland use the 291107 and the UK 291007, loading the 291107 in the UK is glitchy. The 7 day EPG is not working correctly in Ireland. If you chose a channel, press EPG and then look at the bottom of the screen for the next step. In ireland it will give you the full day.

hi,
i am in the uk and in surbiton which i think uses the croydon network?
i think my software is 1.0 (but i heard the newer software is for ireland only and the first version works best in uk?)
if you want i can make a video of my epg problems and put it on youtube for you?
edit: how can i find out the software versions etc?

Ok - For the UK, use 221007 it is the most stable one to use. I am not sure if the guys have loaded it to the software library. If your stuck I will PM you a link for it.

I am not sure which I ID you need to use for channels, but it could be your on the wrong one.

I dont PM stuff that can be shared mate.

That pce of the puzzle I cant help you with, in Ireland there is only NTL which the box gives you the option to choose, but in the UK its different, you may have 3 or 4 different ID's for areas around you which you will choose from. Some one may be able to help you with the correct ID to use for your immediate area.

ohh ok then. by the way by network id do you mean the list of tp's or networks you select when you first scan? with the random numbers next to them? because i selected the nearest place to me which is the croydon network.

Yip thats it, if Croydon is the nearest to you, you may have selected the correct one, try the others to see if they are better for you.

I was so pleased with my recently purchased Kryptview ArNet cable-box that I passed it on to a friend and bought another for myself.
This second box proved very difficult to set up; I had to remove my splitters to my second TV and to my Broadband, to get a stronger signal before I could pick up all of the channels, which I never had to do this with the first box.
My trouble now is that although I left the box overnight on stand-by mode, then all day tuned in to a premium channel, it will not update, I get the signal ?Waiting for code update? on most of the channels.
With the channels I can receive, eg; BBC, ITV, etc. the picture keeps momentarily freezing. I suspect this may be due to a faulty box, as I never had this problem with the first Kryptview ArNet box, that one gave me a perfect crystal clear reception.
Also at about five minute intervals the numerical channel display on the front of the box flashes off and then on again all by itself.
I suspect this box may be faulty, would you agree?

either that or its possessed, firstly, have you updated the box with the latest firmware? from April of this year..... I would update it if you havent yet and see how it goes, if you have, I would send it back as the tuner sounds dodgy

Hi Mickah
Thanks for your ever so prompt reply.
Yes I did update the box with the latest firmware exactly the same as I did with the previous box that worked ok.
Thanks for confirming that the tuner sounds dodgy, I shall ask my seller for a replacement.

Happy ending to my story.
Seller has replaced my box with a new one, I could set it up with no problems what-so-ever, and it is working beautifully.
