A message for Scouser, I have accessed Eamos Library, got a Kryptview coming today or tomorrow, which is the best firmware to install first.

There is a couple of questions though. The EPG doesn't display all the days, the vendor said it came with the latest software so is there a fix for this they may not have installed.
The other question is can I buy a dvd recorder with hard drive and record/play/pause live tv from off cable. The missus really liked the sky plus function so I want to be able to have a similar funtion.

if your in Ireland, the EPG will only go to 2 days if your lucky, dont think you can do the SKY function with a dvd recorder, as you can't pause live tv,

hi new to the kryptview kno a bit about starview and replay,but i cant seem to figure out how to flash the kryptview could someone pls help..... tanx....

mate have you even read the thread? There is a step by step on how to do it, its on page one, follow the sitructions and the links to the firmware is there already

OTHER WISE AS AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD SET UP THE LOADER WITH THE ARNET UNPLUGGED, START THE LOADER THEN PLUG IN THE POWER ON THE ARNET TO START THE FLASH. FUTURE FIRMWARE YOU MAY HAVE TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME
1. Using the RS232 (Null Modem) cable connect the box to the back of your computer.
2. Plug the KRYPTViEW ArnEt into the mains power supply.
3. Make sure The KRYPTViEW ArnEt displays 0000 on the front of the box. Or if you are updating from a working firmware with existing channels just make sure it's switched on (not standby).
4. Double click the KRYPTViEW ArnEt loader (it looks like a grey satellite dish).
5. The loader will open. Click the green download button. Another box will open saying Code Send. Click Open?
6. Click on KRYPTViEW SOFTWARE once, so it is highlighted. Then click the Open button. This file will now appear File box.
7. Click Start in the loader box then immediately press the RED button half way down the remote control TWICE, then the STANDBY button at the top left hand corner of the remote. (Red circle with a line at the top). So its START-RED-RED-STANDBY
The software will start downloading
The display on the front of the KRYPTViEW ArnEt will have a green line going round and round.
Wait until it says Download Success !
Having trouble when i press start I get an error message about serial comPort1 not open and it tells to open it it or check parameters, I've no idea how to do either
Any Ideas?

I have a Kryptview the last 2 months and i live in Dublin. I never had any problem with EPG . Maybe one of your settings is set wrong

i only have my kyrptview 3 weeks and some of the channels went yesterday. Does anyone know if there is a fix for these or should i put it with my replay lite, in the bin?
