I have a psp with firmware 1.50. Over a year ago, I did download some files from a friend that allow me to play some games on the memory stick. The firmware is still 1.5 as I checked. If I want to watch movies with it, what firmware do I need and how? Please help!

Upgrade to 3.52M33-4.

From there, you can either upgrade to 3.71M33-3.

If you upgrade to 3.71M33-3 then you have the options to upgrade to 3.71HX-1(not recommended until 1.5 kernel comes out).

And yes, you must upgrade in that order.

If I were you, I'd stick to 3.52M33-4, while other people with tell you to go to 3.71M33-3.
Your opinion.
But I bet that everyone will tell you not to get 3.72HX-1 until the 1.5 kernel comes out.

Yeah.

If you want 3.72HX-1 then you'll need to Google it.

My memory stick does not have any directory on it. Do I need to create the 'X:\PSP\GAMES\' directory?

Backup everything that you need on your MS to your PC then format your MS. The files should be there.
