I see everyone says the Pioneer 111d is great but my computer only has sata hookups.

So anyone know one the works fine?

i have a samsung sh-183l and it works perfectly. has built in light scribe as well.

It's odd that almost half the reviews on the 1st Pioneer Sata listed are 1 out of 5. That's not good.

I would assume so but I don't want to spend the money to find out it doesn't.

so you use this for your own back-ups and works.

That is what I wanted to hear. I will pick that up then. too many bad reviews on the pioneer and I trust newegg reviews.

yea, ive burnt about 50 back ups on it so far and only had one fail.....stupid power outages, lol. was using the 111d before, but burnt it out between games and movies, and cds.

Let me know if you like this Samsung sata burner, they're out of stock (Newegg) I trust reviews there too, do all me shopping there and need to get this if it checks out to be the right one. My Pioneer is messing up on me more and more, my Lite-on works for backups but is starting to write slower not good. Thanks
