Hi, I am new to the PSP downgrading scene and I own a orginal "fat" PSP.
I want to downgrade it to 1.5 to play backup copies of games I have purchased.
I need a safe guide to safely downgrade my PSP to firmware version 1.5 without bricking my PSP.
And a good PSP mod site will be cool 2
Thx peeps

all psp's come with 3.60 or 3.71 now. you won't find the old fat psp brand new in stores, as they are discontinued.
you will need pandora's battery and universal unbricker v3 memory stick to get custom firmware.

Yes. Lots of them...
I'll try to name them all :P
From old to new.
1.53
--------------------------------------------
2.71SE-A(B)(C)
3.03OE-A(B)(C)
3.10OE-A
3.30OE-A
3.40OE-A
--------------------------------------------
3.60M33( Slim only!)
3.51M33( Update from 2-7)
3.52M33( Update from 2-4)
3.71M33( Update from 2-3)
--------------------------------------------
3.71HX-1(May be continued in updates.)
I've probably missed some out...But M33 firmwares are the best. The HX-* has no 1.5 kernel, but I think that it will be released in a few days.

There's no possible way for us to know...Just buy the PSP, then check the firmware. If it's not right for you, then just return it for another one.

Also, when you load a backedup game do you have a UMD in the drive or could be empty.
Sorry, I'm a serious n00b.

Backing up a game requires the UMD.
Backing up files doesn't require anything(but the MS).

What's the highest firmware you can safely downgrade without using a Pandora's Battery.

3.50, but it requires Lumines Unpatched.
As for 2.01 to 3.03(i think 3.11), it requires GTA:LCS unpatched.
And for 2.00 and lower firmwares they do not require any games.
And as for 3.51+, Pandora is required.
