Ok i've tried this a few times now with no luck. Im just trying to run the 1.2 setup disc from the iso i got from wiikey.cn.
I put the disc in, and in the main wii menu i see the gamecube logo. I click on that and it tries to load. The screen "blips" for a second, then presents a black screen with this error:
Error, please turn of system and consult owners manual for more information or (something like that)
I have a canadian(or US) NTSC wii system, with 3.1U wii update. I;ve tried all setup disc files now from wiikey.cn with no luck, always getting the same error.
ps burned ISO using IMG burn at 2x speed with verification off.
Is there something simple im missing?

Ok nevermind the post above. Got it figured out eventually but required 2 discs, one with 1.3 setup, and the other with 1.2...thanks for everyones help with this. LOL.
Can someone please PLEASE just tell me how can i determine what version of Wiikey firmare Im currently running. I of course have the wiikey original chip, but not sure what firmware its currently sitting at.
If you are concerned about what updated to run it should not matter, as the EPROM on the chip gets over written when you do an update using the WiiKey firmware. So update it with what ever version is the most recent. One WARNING, I would update to 1.9b before updating to 1.9g as I do not beleive that 1.9g is a full version of the firmware but rather a few code fixes to the 1.9b firmware in order to play SMG, but I may be wrong.
