Wii BrickBlocker is not an application to load onto the Wii itself. It is used to patch an .iso image of a game. For example If I had an NTSC Wii, and I wanted to play a PAL game I would run BrickBlocker to prevent the game from trying to update my wii with the PAL (other region)firmware on the game. I hope that makes since.

You wouldnt run it on a Wii, that is not what it is designed for. Get yourself a wii iso and wii brick blocker and youll see how it works.
i have a question...
should you run brick blocker on all foreign region games, or only the ones known to cause problems with bricking?

NTSC games on an NTSC system will never make a brick. So you can run the brick blocker if you like, but there's no advantage (and also no harm).
Personally, I keep updated via the wireless to the latest Wii firmware, and only download games for my region.

i never use brickblocker
just update before you try ANY new game for the 1st time to make sure ur up to date.
once you done it for that game once you know it is safe to use any time after that.

I eat my own words - I downloaded SMG, and using the brickblocker on it just makes it go to a black screen after hitting 'Start'.

Might b useful to put this in an FAQ for Wii brick blocker, mentioning a list of games that need to be brick blocked and ones that dont, ive brick blocked ISOs myself and then deleted the source so i have to re-download them...could be avoided with an FAQ!
