As the title states....

Ive read in other posts that people werent happy with the nyko cooling fans that plug into the back of your 360 and the 360 power cable plugs into and powers both the cooling system and the console...

Too bad,, it looks cool..

Any ideas here?? I want to protect my investment but DONT want to pay big bucks.............

I use the Intercooler. The EX is the latest design and it works great. People were bitching about the original model but that was a long time ago.

I've been thinkin about attaching about 3 three computer cooling fans on the case of my 360 and run a seperate 12volt dc power supply...

ok i know this is slightly more expensive than your idea but anyway..
by the cooler from pelican and that intercoller EX. also buy a fan about 4 inches at least. then just put on the intercooler and the cooler from pelican. then have the extra fan angled to suck air away from the exaust from the intercooler. Now your discs will come out room temp and the air blowing fromt he back should be the same temp. as the room.

It would work good since you use the USB plug and not the power supply. You can also still plug the XBOX 360 wireless network on the back if you had one.

Talismoon makes an aftermarket fan replacement that will work beter then any of those snap on coolers. It replaces the stock fan but you do hae to open the case and install it. they come in various LED colors (mine is neon green) and i have yet to have my system overheat.

It will about double the air flow of the 360.

Those whisper fans look great.. Im gonna get me one of those.. Can you get them locally or by mail only??

What i ended up doing is buying two of those flashing led PC cooling fans.. I hooked them in series and ended up applying a small amount of silicon to one of the gray plastic end caps on my 360 ( i mount my 360 horizontal) and attached the fans to it..

My question, the back fans move air out so I wasnt sure if I want my external add-on fans to blow or suck (hhmm).. Currently i have them sucking more cool/fresh air into the system rather than venting it out of the box... Do you think this is the way to go or should they be set to BLOW (rather extract hot air out of the system instead of bringing more fresh air into it..

Just figured the factory rear units do the blowing while my side add-ons do the sucking....

Not getting much air entering though cause those little damn holes on the gray plastic grates are SOOOOO small..

Your thoughts..
