I first would like to thank anyone in advance for help. I am very new at moding and pretty much anything that goes beyond just playing a game. However I watch videos on youtube that show in game cut scenes from several games and I know to be able to do such a thing you would have to have them as files on your PC. I would love to be able to do this so I could edit my own videos and post them to websites such as youtube. If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.
I'm in the same exact boat! I just beat Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater yesterday and, more than ever, I want to be able to record games through my computer and then cut and paste scenes to make movies or trailers or how-to strategy videos! I love the Metal Gear, Prince of Persia, and Mega Man games! Also some individuals like Psychonauts, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, and a million others (even old NES or Super NES). So, like you I'm dying to do this but I don't know how to go about it. I think you have to get a video card for your computer that will let you connect your game consoles by RCA cords. And probably a software program that will let you manage audio and video (cut and paste segments, etc). I'm not an expert so I'm pretty new with technicalities, so I'm not sure how fast or powerful your computer would have to be! Hopefully fast so you don't get glitchy recordings. Sorry I can't be much help, just hoping to add to the inspiration! Good luck! Let me know what you find out!
Most of the ones on youtube are recorded using the TV out plug on their TV, plugged into a PC capture card. They could also be recorded with some kind of DVD recorder type device, very few of them are actually extracted from the games properly.
Theres a program called Cube Media Player that can play and convert most game video formats to something suitable for PC, is a relatively hard program to find so I've uploaded it to http://rapidshare.de/files/38060336/Cube...Keygen.zip.html enjoy!
