psp is not launching any games

hello i am a psp that is in firmware 3.52 m33 and i cannot seem to launch any homebrew games. I noe how to do it because ive been doing it for bout a year now. Recently i launched a game that worked fine many times before and when my psp reached the logo that u get when u press x on a game it froze right after the logo went away. I tried this out with other games but they all have the same problem. Can anyone help me please.....

are you using 3.52 m33-4? if not upgrade to that.
if it's still freezing, then you might have to recover to 1.50 and reinstall 3.52 m33-4.

well i was at 3.40 oe-a when this problem happened. Then i recovered down to 1.5 and installed 3.40oe-a again to see if the problem would be fixed and it didnt. So then from 3.40 oe-a i went to 3.52 m33. I dont really noe how to go to 3.52 m33-4...but do u think that will solve my problem...because recovery didnt. Also, the last homebrew application taht i put on my psp was remotejoy. and i also tried formatting my memory stick. and nothing helped. My SNES emulator works perfectly and my umd game that i have also works perfectly...Its juss the downloaded homebrew games that freeze right after the sony logo...

put a umd in the psp and start ur homebrew game or start up the psp and hold the R button a recovery menu will come up scroll to config press X scroll to umd mode press X till m33 driver no umd comes up press back then exit got to the memory card and start ur game.

i juss tried that and it didnt work so i put my settings back...i found some guy on the internet that says taht he can fix psps and i told him about my situation and he said that its very easy to fix and he wants 50 dollars for it...so i noe there is a way but iun noe how to do it...any other suggestions...

ok go back to 1.50 and install 3.52m33-4 on ur psp then do this 1st start up the psp and hold the R button a recovery menu will come up scroll to config press X scroll to umd mode press X till m33 driver no umd comes up press back then exit got to the memory card and start ur game..before putting a game on ur memory card, don't pay that bloke any money to fix it. we will help u for free here.

when i go to 1.5... is there a way of installing m33-4....because i only noe how to put m33 the easy isntaller that i use doesnt contain anything that says m33-4...

Just checkin have ya tried disabling the remotejoy plugin because I had the same problem but when I disabled the remotejoy plugin my homebrew worked again :)

ya i formatted my memory stick, and then put a new game in...and there was the same problem....its awkward though because my umd game works fine

after u install the 3.52M33 then u can upgrade to M33-4.u cant go straight to it.

ok try reformatting your psp flash1 in recovery. to do this go to recovery then choose advanced then choose the format flash1 option. if that doesnt work try going into configuration and change the umd mode to the Sony NP9660 driver. also where did you buy your memory stick and have you ever done any pandoras battery stuff.

my memory stick is genuine...its sony and i bought it from best buy so iun think its gonna be fake...However, doesnt flash 1 contain files critical for the psp...if i format that one...how will my psp function...also what is the difference between flash1 and flash0...When i recover which flash am i playing around with???

how do u sure its genuine.to check it, HERE.
its ok if u format the flash1(but format through recovery/advance configuration n hit option format flash1 lol),juz dont delete it or format through your pc.
flash0 n flash1 diff,i dont know how to explain it.
if u recovering,upgrading,downgrading,n customizing,u re playin with flash0.

well i just finished recovering my psp and i installed 3.40 oe-a to see if the problem is still there and it was...then i updated to 3.52 m33 and the it was still like that...same exact problem as the video i posted up on youtube...however after that i updated to 3.52 m33-4 and suddenly some games started to work...i noticed that the only games that work are generally older games in most cases...i tried playing most games and they worked and the ones that didnt were nba live 08, nba 08, manhunt 2, family guy and some other ones...Also, whenever i start a different game such as virtua tennis 3 it works fine, but when i exit, my wallpaper and everything gets changed to the waves...and i had vsh menu turned on and then that got turned off...i went to recovery and saw that 'hard reset on homebrew' was enabled and vsh was disabled and some other ones were out of place, so i changed that all back to my preferences...however whenever i started a game, those options in recovery would all go back to what they were originally and hard reset on homebrew will be turned on...therefore the old problem got changed into a new one once i upgraded to update 4 for 3.52 m33...if you guys want me to make a video of this and post up a link for youtube, just ask.

don't switch from OE to m33 firmware; that can cause problems. what you should do is download chilly willy's keycleaner and let it fix any corrupted keys.
if that doesn't work, then you should recover to 1.50, run the keycleaner and update STRAIGHT to 3.52 m33, and then 3.52 m33-4.
the games that don't play might require higher firmware, therefore you'd have to upgrade to 3.71 m33-3. but in order to get to 3.71 m33, the psp must be on 3.52 m33-3 or m33-4 already, or you can use the universal unbricker to go straight to 3.71 m33-2. you'll have to apply the 3.71 m33-3 patch and 1.50 v2 addon.

guys thank you so much...the problem got fixed and all i had to do was format my flash1 and reset settings....thanks to all the people that suggested that and im happy i didnt pay some guy 20 bucks to do something that took 1 min...once again
