Please help! Movies files on SD card

I wonder if someone can help! I have converted a movie files for PS3, Put it on a brand new one gig SD card and it will not recongise it on the PS3 when I put the card in there? Can someone please help me to find out why? Have got to put it in a named folder? Has the file name got to be a certain length?

Please help if you can.

either make the folder PS3, then in there one called MOVIES and put the movies in that, or click triangle on the SD card and click "display all" and it will show up.

I usually just put mine in the VIDEO folder in my memory stick. I use my PSP memory card and it works fine for me. Display all should work too.
