i have a core xbox 360 which as one flashing red light(bottom right of the circle and E74 error code)it as a flashed samsung drive and have just brought a xbox360 elite with a benq drive can i put the samsung drive into the elite and still play back-ups? or do i need to flash them.

Why not just flash the Benq? You can just swap drive without inject with original DVD into them. All it's not a god idea to put a Samsung in a Benq 360, because apparently MS can tell over Live.
