y cant my psp cant connect to internet now??? funny problem...

hi all, recently, i flash my psp to 3.71mm-3 from 3.52mm-4.
when i was using 3.52 firmware, i cant connect to my router cas i have a 10 character wep key. no matter how many time i type in my wep key, after pressing ok, my psp only resgonise tat i have enter 8 character wep key, as there only 8 star instead of 10...
ok. so recently i flash again to 3.71. but the problem still persisted... y??? can anyone help???
there no such problem when i on my 3.40oe firmware.....

Delete your PSP internet history and it should go off w/o a hitch.

Go to PSP/SYSTEM - I think the stuff is in there. You'll see stuff like history.xxx <--- erase all files that represent your history. I can't remember exactly where they are, but look around, you'll find them. It's not hard. They're located in one of like four folders, so it won't take you very long.

oh, u mean tat the history files are save in my mem card??? if so, i dont think can liao. i try without my mem card in my psp also the same problem, it jus wont accept my 10 char wep key and keep accepting only 8 wep key..

Yea, I had that same problem today. Idk what the problem is. Could be the problem is with your signal. I'll tell you this much - I can surf a signal on my wifi router on my pc, even if the signal strength is 1 out of 5 bars. However, MOST times, when I try to connect to a signal with even TWO bars out of 5, the psp won't connect. So... it's one of the two. :s

hmm.. i got 100% signal strength.. anyway.. i stated my problem again,
right now i connecting to a new connection. but when it time for my to set my wep key. i enter 10 char wep key.
but after enter and me pressing ok, when i go back to the menus, there only 8 'star'.. hence making my wep key wrong as stated by psp when i try ro connect ....
no matter how many char, even 26 char.. there will only be 8 star tat appear after entering my key....
