PS2Parts.com Repair Service?

Has anyone ever ordered the repair service from PS2parts.com? I think all my V7 needs is an adjustment, and I'm pretty nervous about opening it up myself. I sent it off for repair last year to another "repair" company (not sure if supposed to mention names). Sent it off in September, and didn't get it back until Mid December. Had to keep calling to get updates, and it seemed like there would be no progress if I didn't call. Obviously, I don't want that experience again, so if someone could offer some insight to ps2parts.com, it would be great. Thanks.
