Can Japanese PSP Slim w/3.71M33-2 cfw play USA/EUR(UK) ISOs?

Thought I'd ask in this forum as well, as my request in the PSP-Firmware forum hasn't been answered yet :-(
Hi - I'm new here but have been "reading up" a bit as I want to get a PSP Slim. I have not had a PSP before.
There is someone on eBay who is offering a PSP Slim with cfw "3.71 M33" for about 130UKGBP.
I have asked if they can put cfw "3.71 M33-2" on it (and they said they can).
I have asked which model PSP Slim it is, and they said it's a Japanese version - I think that's PSP1000. It has been region set to Region 2 - for UK/EUR movies playback.
I wanted to ask here if anyone knows or can advise/help me...
Can the Japanese PSP Slim with cfw "3.71 M33-2" play USA/EUR(UK) ISOs?
(without any additional hardware/software/etc.)

yes. the psp games are not region locked. only the umd movies.
i have the japanese crisis core on my american psp slim, and it runs with no problems.

Looks like I'm getting a PSP Slim then... ;-)
[ I'll leave the DS for the kids/wifey... :-D ]
One more thing; Can I still play all orginal UMD games with a PSP that has cfw?

hey!
i'm here in japan for quite sometime already (im not japanese)...i bought my psp slim here and have installed 5 or more CFW on my friends psp slims...everything works, even US games...UMD movie works...
about TV on PSP, it says that the TV transmission in your area should be digital for only digital TV signal is being accepted by the PSP TV Tuner...i think UK is already in digital mode...

ok at the risk of sounding stupid wat is a cfw
i bought a jap psp and us umd movies and yea
i really dont want to have to go through the sending back of the psp
and if u havent noticed im not the most educated when it comes to like hacking and stuff so i need help!!

CFW = Custom Firmware :)
Like 3.51m22, 3.52m33, 3.71m33 etc.
These firmwares allow you to play .iso games w/o the need of a UMD and run homebrew apps and games :)

ANSWER: Yes u can play any umd with a custom firmware.

ANSWER: custom firmware is a hacked firmware with which u can play iso games and homebrew games emulators and watch iso movies. u can backup game from umd. u can say custom firmware will save ur 100 years life money. one umd will take 200 dirhams and one same game iso will take u nothing more than downloading the game and placing it in memory card. with custom firmware all u have to do is download the thing and placing it in memory stick. u dont need to buy anything. now thats what custom firmware is. :)
