I have looked through the past threads about my questions but get conflicting responses, or peoples situations where slightly different than mine, so I was hoping if I posted my exact situation, then someone might be able to help based on my needs. I'm sorry to bug you guys with this, but I want to make sure I do everything right. Thanks in advance to all who reply.

I have:

Wiikey installed with 1.9b
Wii system with 2.1 U.S. firmware.

I want:
To play a back-up of an original U.S version of SMG I will be buying tomorrow, and update the Wii firmware to the current version.

What should I do, and in what order? (SMG Upadte, Wii Firmware, Wiikey 1.9g update, etc)

this is what I did with my burnt copy of SMG. I have a WiiKey Clone but its exactly the same thing...

Updated Wii to 3.1U
Updated firmware of chip to 1.9g
Updated Wii with SMG

and it works out great!
