NO. He is just stating that the format war between BluRay and HD DVD will not end any time soon. In fact blu ray is doing much better that HD DVD in overall sales. Despite Paramount/Dreamworks signing an 18 month exclusivity deal with HD DVD, it has not given the HD DVD format that big of a leg up. Also Transformers the movie did not do for HD DVD what 300 did for Blu Ray when it was released. As far as HDDVD players being cheaper than Blu Ray, Sony will just have to bite the bullet and lower the price of their stand alone Blu Ray player.
