Can I hardmod a fake battery?

I just happen to have a fake battery(It looks so fake its not even funny, sony name isn't on the battery and there is no serial number on it)

Can I pop it open and hardmod it into a pandora?
That would be cheaper than doing it on my official battery.

it's not recommended. and most fakes are unable to be hardmodded. official sonys are the recommended.

I heard that most fake couldn't softmodded, but I couldn't see why they couldn't be hardmodded

one of the members tried to hardmod a fake, and the battery was consisted mostly of weights. there's a topic about it somewhere.
