downloading files to hard drive instead of storage media?

Sometimes when trying to download stuff it says please insert storage media and doesn't give me the option of saving it to the hard drive. I just tried to get a video off blasteroids.com and got this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It all depends on what kind of file it is. What is the file extension of the file in question?

I think mpeg, im not sure though. I tried the mgs4 tgs trailer on blasteroids.com and it did it with that. maybe you could try it off your ps3 browser and see.
