Hi,
Have just downloaded the new Firmware 2.0 update for the PS3 and have read somewhere that there are Blu-ray playback issues with this latest update (especially when playing through a HDMI cable). Anyone come across this problem?
Cheers.

I haven't had any problems with my console, but I haven't tried to play a Blu-Ray since I updated.

When I got home yesterday afternoon put on Casino Royale to see if I had any problems.. The one I noticed straight away was that the movie didn't play full screen (which it did when I originally watched it) even through my blu-ray settings are set for full screen??

since the update my PS3 is no longer keeping an accurate record of players met online, its only added one name to the list since 11th November, and also Motorstorm seems to have problems now. Whenever I try to pause the game to restart a race it takes ages for the options (restart etc) to appear on screen. Its extremely frustrating waiting for it, at first I thought the problem may have been with the controller but the same thing happened when using a different one.

Wow, you all have me concerned now. Since updating, I haven't experienced any problems; no problems with connecting to the internet, game playback, or movie playback.
Maybe you can find solace in the fact that if there are this many problems going around, they'll probably give us another firmware update shortly (one of those minor ones to fix bugs).
