Hi Guys

Ive bought a SH-D162C drive with kreon V 0.81 firmware. My problem is that when I try to back up my original Call of duty 4 with xbox backup creator 2.6 , the start button is shaded and I cant start the dump.The info window on XBC shows the disc is recognised. If I put in a backup of any other game it works no problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Ryan

I thought about flashing the drive to kreons v1.00 but when I try I get a message saying this firmware is not compatible with the selected drive. Now Im starting to think its something to do with the way I have it set up. My SH-D162C is IDE which I have connected to the ide slot on a VT6421 raid card in a pci slot. (my pc is all sata)

Could this be causing me problems?

I doubt that card would be the problem if every other game you put in can be backed up. Not sure what would cause this one disc not to be read by the drive. But i know it can be backed up for sure.

Cheers for the reply. Ive got it sorted. I bought a caddy to put the dvd drive in. Set it all up and hey presto it works like a dream.
