I HAVE A DELL LATITUDE CPI R LAPTOP. PRETTY OLD. I UPGRADED THE HARD DRIVE AND RAM AND RIGHT, BUT IT TAKES LIKE 10 MINTUES TO POWER ON AND WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL XP IT WILL NOT LOAD THE CD WHEN THE BOOT SETTINGS ARE SET TO CD/DVD. HELP PLEASE EVEN IF I HAVE TO OPEN THE LAPTOP

im havin a similar problem i think. i have dell and ive messed up my xp so it wont open. i try to put the xp setup disc in but it just ignores it!!

does it take forever to start the computer. Like power up.I repartioned and after that it kept on giveing me errors. I tried installing windows 98 and that still didnt work.
