Just wondering to those of you who replaced their own PS2's laser, did you have any prior experience in soldering or did you practice on some dead hardware or something? I'm thinking about replacing my v5/v6 PS2's laser myself, but if it ends up being difficult, I think I'll pass. Any words of advice?

theres no soldering required just go on ebay type in your laser type and try to by an assembly because they are easier to install but you could be the laser yourself but you have to adjust it and align.
