I have a Crisis Core PSP fresh out of the box. When I look into system settings it says it has a 3.60 firmware(not sure if this is the right indication of knowing what my firmware is).

What exactly do I need to get/do to install a custom firmware that allows me to play ISO's?

I recently bought and ruined(I think) a pandora battery trying to install a custom firmware on this already so I need some specific advice on this since apparently I don't know what I'm doing and looking at all these different guides lead to my first ruin =(.

Will appreciate any info and thanks in advanced.

You need to upgrade to a CFW using a pandora's battery. Here is a guide on how to do that.
