since well, the lg drives are so damned rare and expensive now. I had an 8164B but well it decided to give me errors now. Anyhow, I am just worried that the one from the link above may be a fake.. why? Because he swears up and down its not a fake, and to be weary of other dealers selling fakes. So is there any way to know what the real ones are?
if you want to save yourself a couple of bucks you can goto gameparts.biz cheap shipping i think i paid about 2 dollars when i ordered mine last year and the card itself had the gecko imprint on it

Im not doing it for gameshark/action replay. I am doing it for sd dumping so that I can dump images from my wii to sd, rather than having to buy another ridiculously priced LG drive.
Anyhow, I noticed that guy was in Spain, so instead I ordered it from someone on amazon.com. Came out to 17.89
Also, actually I am still running 2.0 Wii firmware until I get my wireless USB adapter working.
Damn, the sad thing is I had searched dealextreme, buy I just did a search for gecko, and then moved on when no results came back. Oh well, the important thing is, 17$ is still a hell of a lot cheaper than most of the lg drives on ebay.
