Hello,
I'm looking into getting my x-box 360 modded and I've seen some different threads on flashmods and hardmods. I'm not really sure of the differences between these other than they way they're installed into the x-box. Could anyone clarify the main advantages and disadvantages of each so I could make a better decision on how to get my x-box modded?

Hardmod is having someone solder a chip onto your motherboard
Flashing is using a tool to flash your DVD drive.

Advantages are a flash you can reverse and will have more frequent and faster updates. Once you have a hard mod having it desoldered would be a pain. And they will not have updates nearly as fast if at all.

Hrmm, i see, thanks for your reply.
I've heard that with hard mods i wont have to worry about not being able to go on x-box live when a new update comes around, is this true?
Because from I've read on, flash modding means that when a new x-box 360 firmware update comes around, there's a chance I wont be able to use the copied games on XBL?
