Ok, first off not sure if this is the right forum I should be in, so if not, just direct me elsewhere. Basically I just want to know what program I should use to burn DVDs. Whether it be an actual dvd or a dvdrip.

Thanks guys, yeah I was referring to like avi to dvd. So thanks for the help. A friend of mine referred me to nero, but I can only find the trial version, and that won't even install (keeps asking me to reboot), so I'm just going to junk that. I'll try the convertxtodvd Rotary.
Ok, the convertxtodvd puts a watermark on the video since it's the trial version. Is there anything else out there that I don't have to buy, that doesn't put a watermark, or any advertisement on there?

WinAVI is an option. You can download a copy from Software here at AD. The Nero Vision from the Nero suite is what I use. The Nero trial is full fucntion, so the Nero Vision would be present. That trial doesn't mark the video output. Too bad you can't get it loaded.

Good luck. We've named a few programs, but you can look around the software sections of different forums and find all kinds of software. Avi2Dvd is an interesting title. LOL You can check that out in software here at AD. I'd advise using one of the easier programs unless you're handy with software.

LOL I mentioned that one for name effect mostly. ;) That's similar to a program for putting a couple of DVDs on one, DVD2One. I figured since Avi2Dvd used CCE and some of the better free encoders for processing, it might do a decent job. I'd heard good things about it in the past. What happened to it?

Ok, first off thanks for all the replies. 2nd, I went ahead and used DVD flick, and I got Nero working. As for the DVD Flick, once it finished the encoding of the movie, it said complete, but it didn't tell me where the file went. I tried looking in the DVD FLick folder in my programs, but I can't find the finished result anywhere.

You're welcome. I try, but you're lucky you had Rotary, ZoSoIV and soup1. ;) Hope you've got everything up and running the way you want it.
