I got my Ice Silver PSP Slim about a month ago and I have had no problems with it but I heard that u can run homebrew on it if u have the official sony firmware 1.50 but my firmware is the official sony firmware 3.72. Is there anyway i can downgrade to to 1.50 firmware so i can run homebrew because when i try putting a game on my psp it says corrupt file. thanks for tryin to help me with this predicament.

P.S. also is ther anyway i can also downgrade to 3.71M33-3? because i heard that the 3.71M33-3 Custom Firmware can run homebrew and ISO/CSO Games? Is this true? thanks.

Well slims cannot read the ipl from FW 1.50 so they cannot downgrade to it. The only way foudn out to get a slim to CFW is to make a pandora's battery, modify it to run a few special PRX's (which can be installed simply using an easy installer) and then downgrading with the battery/memory stick.

Go to PSP folder in your memory stick and then create a folder called THEME and download .ptf theme files and paste all in there.

Yes I'm sure. As long as they are in.PTF format, you can run it. Get them from consolespot.net

Don't type all in caps. The answer is: Only photos, music, videos, games (bought games) and internet.

kill the all caps.

there's nothing else you can do on official firmware 3.51 or higher. it's very restrictive. you can play umd games, game demos, watch umd movies, use the internet, but that's pretty much it.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I'm assuming that's an ISO which official firmware's cannot play. You can only play demo's signed by sony, nothing else. No iso's, cso's or unsigned eboots.

hi im a noob. i got a psp slim three days ago. i took out the battery and pulled the pin up to make it pandora. and i also made a MagicMC. i installed everything it seemed to work. when i went to resart the psp and it went right back to the install srceen, the one with install 3.71m33 and 3.71 and dump something or other. so i could do the anvance thing because there was no menu for it and i could not resart in recover mode. so i got a new psp with 3.72 and i still have the battery from the old one. what the hell do i do now? please help!! i want to get this to work

ok i see the guides for making a pandora battery and the magic stick, and the guides to put on the custom firm ware, but where are the guides to make your own downgrader??? i tried, almost had a v 3.03 firmware trick the psp into thinking that it was version 3.73, but when it tried to run the update it said it was corrupted... i don't know what program to use to decompile the EBOOT file so i can alter the version information on say a 1.50 eboot to trick it into flashing the 1.5 over the 3.72.... any one even think it is possible or am i just waisting time and drive space??
