Tough Call...but right now im 95% sure im getting Guitar Hero

I would go for rock band. GH3 is just more songs, not much of a new game. being a drummer I'm so looking forward to rock band. i played the demo set up at best buy and even w/out the bass drum pedal and having to stand up, its really sweet.

I have Guitar Hero 3 and it's awesome. Great songs, hard to put down, all around fun.

Dunno how much space you have but you'll have to store the drums somewhere, so if your short on space that may be something to think about.

thats true..im mostly going for the guitar aspect of the game

if your going for just the guitar, then your going to want GH3. Rock band is about the drums and playing as a group. Most reviewers say the guitar notecharts dont get nearly as hard in RB as GH3. Plus the song selection isnt geared towards crazy guitar solos and such, with the exception of metallica and a few others.

exactly. it's made by the ppl that made guitar hero 1 and 2. guitar hero 3 is the one thats technically made by new ppl.

The guitar for rock band has 10 buttons instead of 5. The 5 at the lower end of the neck are so you don't have to strum the guitar during solos. Does this guitar work for guitar hero? That just makes the guitar aspect of Rock Band sound really easy. These music based games are starting to become a rich man's novelty. If I had bought the ps3 version of guitar hero 3 at $100 then turned around a month later and bought Rock Band for $170 we are looking at almost $300 for 2 games. Why buy 2 when you can buy 4 or 5. So long guitar hero it has been nice knowing you. Besides has anyone looked into how to customize guitar hero 2? I have about 7 different Guitar Hero 2 discs with different songs on each one. I'm even working on one with all of the rock band songs. You just don't get those crisp next gen graphics but that doesn't really matter to me because that is one of very few games where graphics do not matter.
