I have firmware 3.03 OEC on my PSP right now. It has been working great but I cannot seem to load the new MGS game. I am thinking that maybe the firmware is too low. Anyone know what fw is needed? OR should 3.03OEC work? Should I need to update what is the best way to go about doing this? Do I downgrade back to 1.50 or upgrade then downgrade and update again? Any help as aways is thanked very much.

most likely you need to update to 3.52 m33-4. 3.03 oe-c is way outdated, and can't play the new games.

try changing the param.sfo file in the game.

Ok so update to to 3.52 m33-4? Is this the most stable version out there? Does 3.52 work the same way as OEC with the ISO folder on the memory card or is there a another method for playing iso/cso files?

Mrgooey- The file is a cso can you edit these?

yes, use the UMDGEN, and the PBP unpacker. But, u will have to make a new cso.

Ok.. so what exactly am I trying to edit in the param.sfo? If there is a guide to do this please point me to it so I do not waste your time with questions. Also is there a guide to upgrading to 3.52 m33-4 and how to use this firmware? Thanks again!

I was doing a bit of research... what is the latest and most stable firmware version out there. I have a fat psp. I see all this stuff about 3.71 m33 and 3.72 HX2 which is better. I just want to play ISO games and PSX games. I am about to do the update for 3.52 m33
