I tried to install my Wiikey this week and accidentally burnt one of the pads on the motherboard out to where I can't solder onto it anymore. I know there's a way to solder around it, but I can't for the life of me find out any documentation on how to do it. How is it done?

Grab a magnifying glass and trace the little line back from the damaged pad to the leg of the drive chip and solder to the leg, its a lttle tricky but quite easy to do , use kynar and "tin" the end.

again : its quite easy to do just take your time and prepare your wires, the best way i found was to lie the wire over the chip tape it down so that the part you want to solder just touches the leg and then touch it with the iron just for a second or 2 also i filed my soldering iron tip down to a point then tinned it.
