Game doesn't load from HDLoader Advance

Im using the memory card exploit.
Basically, i put the cd exploit in. Before I did this, i insert a real ps2 game need for speed underground. I copied onto hd using hdloader advance.
After i finish, i take the nfs2 cd out and put in exploit cd with memory card in.
When load, i go to memory card and open hdloader, it show the game there. But when i click on it, im stuck on a black screen.

load the games with the computer and winhiip. some games don't like being loaded thru the ps2

am i doing anything wrong because I just load the game through the computer with the hd.
still stuck on black screen.
Do i have to press something?

are you using hdloader 0.8b with your memory card exploit? as far as i know, 0.8b is the latest hdloader elf out.
according to the absolute anime hdloader list, nfs:u should work. SOURCE

should i put it in mode 3 when i copy it?
when it say compatible, wat mode do i put?

the modes you see are when the games are loaded on the hdd already. when in hdloader, you highlight the game and press select. this will bring up a menu of different modes. make sure mode 3 (kill hdl after launch) is on, and try it again.
