You need custom firmware or firmware 1.50 to use emulators for PSP. You can downgrade your firmware using Pandora.

You need to downgrade your firmware to 1.50 using Pandoras battery. (Guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552549). Then you need to install custom firmware using this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/569454 And make sure you follow the instructions VERY carefully. One little mistake could brick your psp.
