Are you using a PSP that has custom firmware already installed? Im assuming you do if your folowing this guide. If so go HERE and follow this guide. It uses the PSP only without running the mspformat on the PC.

Allot of Vista users have issues using the mspformat so the guide I linked you to is an alternative for Vista users.

or had a custom firmware

well do u have any friends that have custom firmware?

Here's some things you can try to do.

1) if you know anyone, friend or family member, that has a custom firmware psp, you can make the universal unbricker.


2) if you don't know anyone that has a custom firmware psp, look for someone, again friend or family member, that has winXP. you can at least create the universal magic memory stick.

with the magic memory stick, you will need pandora's battery. there are two options without a custom firmware psp. one, physically mod a battery (recommended for pros only) or two, get the datel tool battery.


3) look HERE and HERE for someone near you. the can make the recommended battery and memory stick for you (you will have to provide the battery and memory stick) or they will unbrick your psp

You will need to find a PC that has windows XP on it to logically format your Memory Stick (MSPFORMAT) then do a hardmod to the battery so you can use the magic memory Stick.

I have no links on how to hardmod the battery because I don't recommend others to do it since it can be dangerous if not done correctly.

Your best bet is to find someone that has a PSP that has custom firmware already installed on it and use this guide or the guide I linked to to create the magic memory Stick and to change the battery into a Pandora Battery normally which isn't as dangerous as a hardmod to the Battery.

Hey!
I followed the guide and made my battery and bla bla bla. put it in my psp slim and it did all the flashy light things. but when I turn it on it just stops... gay!
But! when I turn it on and hold right trigger it does go into recovery. can I downgrade to 1.5 or what ever like I do with my norm psp and then just upgrade? any help would be nice thanks all.
