If you have a SLIM you can not downgrade to 1.50. You said when you turn it on it stops. Where does it stop at? If it stops at the time and date then you created the Magic memory Stick incorrectly. You need to use a custom PSP that has the original XMB installed. Using a custom theme (PTF/Flash0) will cause the Magic Memory Stick to install a semi-bricked PSP.

So redo the Magic Memory Stick and make sure the custom PSP your using has the original XMB on it.
