*UPDATE*
It appears that modified fw is NOT being detected, and is instead once again due to 'bad' discs. Keep in mind that the only full proof way to make a 1:1 backup is to do it yourself. iXtreme is as fullproof as it can be, in that it validates everything it possibly can from a firmware point of view, but a game can have slight data change somewhere, most commonly in DMI. Or it can be due to early copies being watermarked so to speak.
This is why you run the risk of being banned on xbox live if you pirate games. Always remember that you run a risk doing such actions.
In regards to game data being properly validated, xdvdmulleter is a tool that has a constantly maintained database to validate backups against retail copies to ensure full stealth. ok but wasnt ixtreme 1.2 supposed to stop your system from playing those bad disc? and some are reporting that 1.2 ixtreme have been banned.

thats what i thought ridiges....you cannt detect fw on a machine unless you have access to the console....bad stealh backups seem to be the issue....
now....is there a database file that xdvdm uses to keep their database updated or does it ddo it automatically after you autofix?
im thinking that it you got away with playing a non fully stealth game, then you were flagged and then the banhammer is in effect in one quick swoop.....but how can u play a unsucessful patched game on ixtreme unless you updated your fw from xtreme to Ixtreme and when on xtreme your game was not fully stealthed....im guessing that a flagable thing?

unless you played an non fully stealth game, then updated from xtreme to ixtreme that im guessing would get u banned.

no its only people that are not patching games correctly after thay back them up.....then used them and got away with it.....it seems

that makes no sense lol i think ms is smart , they're trying to tell you to buy your games and back them up and you will not have any probs lmao and notice the bans came with black friday right around the corner lmao hilarious. what im thinking is when you get a game and rip it and then upp it wouldnt that be the same actual game u just ripped being upped? just does not add up.

dood ms is not smart, they are useless.....
and its pretty simple....
you effed up your backup, played it on xtreme and got flagged....easy....ive only used ixtreme fw on hitachi 47 and no issues here because ixtreme makes sure that the game is stealthed and will not let u play if it is not.....simple....if that does not make sense than your not reading something

so if the flagging would have been the case i would be banned right now. i went on with xtreme for a while now i updated to 1.3. all the games i had before i knew about stealth patches do not work at all. so i doubt its people being flagged

well fazes i would stay offline for now....if you played a backup that was not fully stealthed on xtreme you have a great chance of being banned as of now....you could have been flagged....who knows....
even though im not banned i unplugged my 360 to make double sure and im not going back on until after thanksgiving.....just to be safe....but....again i belive you have been flagged and MIGHT or COULD be banned on the next incremental wave....their still banning people now....so just look out....and stay off xbl

hopefuly we will find out more as time goes by and people start reporting what drive-firmware- backup and how they made the back up then it might give us a little bit of more info to go buy as to how micrsoft are choosing which consoles to ban

my console wont boot games that arent stealth patched which includes a lot of my old back-ups so the firmware does work my friend....

Just in case it helps with anyone compiling data:
MS25 flashed straight out of the box (I think) with iX 1.2 (normal, noisy, fast version, whichever that was). Not banned, everything that's been in the drive had been ran through Mulleter first and came out clean.
Having had my first box banned 6 months ago, I can appreciate how anyone who's just been banned is feeling. Yes, we knew the risks but it's still a sore one when it happens.
so peeps are taking new 360's and modding them out the box and are not getting banned....

It's a sad day today for some of us whom come to find out about the Banning Wave only to go and boot their consoles up to find out they've been banned from XBOX LIVE. I too, have been banned. Unfortunately I can not report today as to what was the last game played on my console because there are a few people at home that plays on my console even when i'm not home; however, I can say this, all of my "back-ups" are made using XBOX BACK-UP CREATOR V2.6 ripped on a Samsung SH162 flashed with the Kreon firmware, and then burned on a Pioneer 111-D, It's the typical setup, I make my copies this way to ensure i'm not downloading a poorly stealthed game through bitorrents-you just really never know what you're getting through bitorrents; there might be ways of scanning the back-ups downloaded through bitorrents, i'm a bit more comfortable with my set up. Anyway, earlier today while at work I decided to call the hated
Microsoft Customer Service to just ask random questions to them and "act" like a consumer that knows nothing about the MOD world or piracy. So I'm on the phone with them being argumentative that my console has not been tampered with and my games are legit games-why am I banned? They gave me such bullcrap run-around stories, then I kicked the agent in the head with this question, "What exactly is Microsoft scanning and finding in the consoles that is red flagging XBOX LIVE to ban consoles?" Now I really don't know how true the answer is, but none the less, the answer that I got from the agent at XBOX's customer service xbox live support told me, "There servers has been updated recently with new software to detect consoles that has original firmwares tampered with." Now i'm second guessing that just a few days ago when xbox live was down for their maintenance period, they might of been installing this alleged firmware detecting software, it is a possibility, so lets not rule that out. So now we just need to be alot more attentative and alert to any and all alleged updates MS does on LIVE. Also, upon hearing that statement the agent said to me, I wonder now are they detecting the firmware? xboxscene has updated their reporting that MS is not detecting the firmware and it is a possible issue with the games not being properly stealthed. With that statement that I've gotten, make no mistake about it, we really need to double check the fact that it is possible they are now detecting the IXTREME firmware, just think about it like this, Bill Gates and his henchmen has millions of dollars to spend on researching ways to protect their investment while the modding community has little or no money at all. Also, the modding community unfortunately puts out there the softwares that are used to make stealthed back ups at any ones ability to obtain, doesn't anyone realize that the boys back at MS have these stealth making softwares and know how the back ups are made there fore they create firmware detecting softwares to get around all this. who knows, only time will tell.
For all my fellow modders and banned victims, it is a hit to us all, but we must not give up the fight at all.
Do console swap outs if you have to, do what ever it takes, but never give up, never surrender, fight to the death through blood, sweat and tears......
