thank you for all your help but i got it now, damn vista......
ok well im going to explain my new situation now
-i have firmware 3.71 with an old phat psp
-i took of my 5th pin on my battery to make it a pandora battery
-when i put said battery in my psp it starts up, but nothing shows up
i tryed to make a magic stick but i got this mesage:
target DRIVE is 1
check partation sector
cannot open device \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE1
can't read partition sector
press any key to continue . . .
(note: what do i call my psps image when it asks me, or does it matter)
-now the only way i can turn on the psp is with power cord
but ya thats my situation as of now, i don't want to seem like beggar, and i don't expect you to do it all, but any help would be usefully
thank you for reading, hope you can point out what i am doing wrong
i am looking to hardmod a psp battery because i do not have access to another hacked psp.....
so i think i will hard mod a battery and then buy another from a stor like deakextreme or something
i was wondering if anyone here has hard moded a battery to use for pandora, i think i can do it with some hard plastic thing so i don't shortcircut the battery.
anyways can anyone point me to a web page or something?

Here is a pic from my hardmodded battery.

My battery is one of the newer ones so I don't know if it applies to you exactly.

I stuck a toothpick in between the pins and simply put a thumb tack under it and yanked it off.
I recomend it only if you can't access an already modded battery cause if the pin next to it touches it, the battery blows up! I think you can find a video on it on youtube. The way I did it makes it only slightly safer because the tooth pick keeps the pins from accidentaly touching.
