How is that overpriced? Currently I pay $45 a month for 14 Mbps download and not very fast upload, paying $140 for 4 times my speed doesn't seem very overpriced does it?

Jeez. Not all areas have such wide availability or competition between providers. Dont see why you guys have to knock somebody for how much they are paying for a connection.

I pay $75 a month for a 15mb connection. And thats bundled with my phone.
My download obviously rocks, but upload sucks ass. I'm guessing its ranked about 1.5mb. I would GLADLY pay the rate for FiOS, especially for that kind of upload.

But like all internet connections the download speed isnt actually 16mbs it changes all the time sometimes its 100kbs sometimes 500kbs and sometimes 1.6mbs download speed. The company im talking about is Sky.

Thats pretty fast....
Speed is great, but one must also wonder if they cap the upload and download total data for each month. If would suck to have that speed and then be charged more money after 100 GIG/month. As long as its unlimited...then the price isn't bad.

Well, I just got off the phone with Verizon pricing out a total Fios package. Faster internet speed and I will be saving money. Comcast eventually will be Compost.

You DO have fantastic package. My daughter in NJ - USA has a 52 mbps - 25mbps guaranteed - package for around $50/- per month which I considered fantastic.

Right now I am paying $42.95 (part of a package deal) for supposedly 12mbps downstream and 1.5Mbps upstream. The reason I say supposedly is those times if/when comcast decides NOT to block bittorrent and other P2P apps. Bastards! They are a monopoly. If only AT&T would get their act together and bring out their U-verse (Verizon is not even available in Georgia) I would switch. Because next month when I move and get rid of Comcast for TV and go with satellite, my internet prices jump to $76 monthly for the same crappy speed and service to which they subject us. The only alternative is slower DSL service and I am NOT taking that step backward.
So good for Verizon, too bad they are not here in GA and AT&T are dragging their feet.

The faster speed is still too much for people to afford and the slower speed is still a better deal because its more reasonable to have thaty cause its faster than the speed that we are currently getting.
