UMD OF GTA liberty City Stories gives 80020148

This is an original game UMD, not an ISO.
I am running 3.71 M33

I am completely new to the PSP but other UMD games work fine.

I have check he recovery configuration menu and everything looks ok. the vsh menu looks ok also.

I thought this error only occurred in ISO?

try the iso version maybe your umd is scratched. Its not reading the disk so its probably the umd.

Will try,

The kernel version is switchable from 3.7 to 1.5 under the recovery menu, i beieve I need to change this 1.5 to run ISO's from the memory stick. are there any other settings I need to change?

I have tried changing the kernel to v1.5 and copied ISO to the ISO
folder on the memory stick but still can't get the game to load.
Don't know if am allowed to upload screenshots of my settings?

Hi,

I have now found the solution, I changed the settings in the advanced menu of the M33 recovery menu for Plain modules for UMD/ISO
to enabled and the UMD run correctly

Can someone please help me. How does one play a iso using the new custom firmware? i keep on getting "Game could not be started ..."

boot into recovery by powering on the psp and pressing R scroll to config scroll down to umd mode press X till umd driver no umd shows then back and exit ur game sould work
