I am having all kinds of DVD burning problems. I am new at it and things aren't working well. I have an external Sony DRX-510UL on an IBM X30 laptop with a 40 GB hardrive, and 1 GB of RAM. I bought DVD XCopy Xpress. I popped in a copy of a DVD I had bought and a few minutes into reading the original, DVD XCopy Xpress gave me the following message:

Error occurred reading sectors! Data: 1/0. i then clicked ok and it said unable to read DVD. Why did this happen? I thought DVD Xcopy Xpress was supposed to be easy. it worked for another movie i tried to copy.

That error is usually caused by a dirty disc or possibly damaged data. If it read another dvd, the software and drive are probaly working. Jerry

It did read and write other disks. What is weird is that I tried it three times before it finally copied my disk. The first two times I got that error message. Then when I tried to make another copy from the original, I keep getting the same error message and I haven't been able to make another copy. Thanks.

try the xcopy forum;

You might have hard drive space issues. I think for xcopy you need 10 gb of hard drive space available. I have 280 gb on my desktop-- one drive devoted to video (160 gb)

dvd xpress seems to be very sensitive,they have whats called a blacklist....it won't work properly with certain programs installed on your PC,heres some of the top of my head...Nero IN CD,direct cd,B's clip,go back,most DLA's Mcaffee anti- virus,norton anti-virus and Interactual Player and PC Friendly Player,these all have an effect on dvdx copy xpress
