PSP 2.80 HELP PLEASE.........................

My sister has just brought my nephew a PSP, the firmware is 2.80. I have read all the forms and downloaded umpteen files. The PSP is not a TA-082 or TA-083 (it does not have any number in the corner) I have used this form:

And I have done exactly what is says on there for the 2.80 PSP.

Activate USB Connection
1. Open the downloaded 2.80 Downgrade Files (280dg.zip) and copy the PSP folder to the root of you memory stick. (Not MP_ROOT)
Copy the 1.5 update EBOOT renamed to UPDATE.PBP to X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE
2. Go to the Photo Menu on the psp and enter the HEN_280 folder
????????????????????????????..
Once I get here, when I press on the Photo menu nothing ever happens, it just keeps bringing up the pic of the HEN, I have turned of the psp and gone back on to it, I have reformatted the Memory card a number of times and even tried another memory card. I only also have one Pic of the HEN there is no other file that says correct data (As I thought there was supposed to be). I have also tried for over an hour flicking back n forth on the pic as the like above says, but yet is still does nothing but show me a pic of the HEN.
I then tried the following:

2.80 downgrader
1.50 Eboot
Again the same thing nothing happened on the HEN Photo part.
I then tried:
Easy 2.80 Downgrader
I installed this on the PSP, again when I went to run the files from the Photo menu northing happens, the PSP does not freeze or anything. I no I must be doing something wrong and I no there must be someone out there can help me PLZZZZZZ

Did u run the homebrew enabler first, like the eloader (do not run the eloader !). There is an another program but I dont remember, use google. (It's been a long time i downgrade 2.8 psp)

i found the program. It is called Xloader. U have to have Xloader to run the easy downgrader.

I clicked the link and it says "2.80 Xloader (Eloader!)" the "(Eloader!)" means it's the same thing. Just click on the red "2.80 Xloader (Eloader!)" title and it should download. (provided you registered)

just put the tiff file (and the folder) into ur picture folder. Go to picture and view the tiff. Instead, it should do nothing. Then go to the downgrader

the link for 2.80 Xloader (Eloader!) dont work, I lick the rd writing and I have even registerd, It dont come up with any downloading, I have tried to search for it in google and can not find it, all i have found is eloader0995 which is one application that install straight on to my PSP but dont do a thing, do you no of an actaul web site i can get this 2.80 Xloader (Eloader!) from

By the way, please if you read this before you use ELOADER! I am quoting a piece of the guide... please read it!
DO NOT TRY TO LOAD THE DOWNGRADER USING THE ELOADER. ELOADER AND XLOADER ARE DIFFERENT. USING THE ELOADER WILL SURELY BRICK YOUR PSP.

Hi people,
I have followed drakex Links and Instructions to a tee:
I downloaded This is the HEN, the homebrew enabler and installed it correctly with the images, which installed eLoader, xLoader in to my photo menu on my psp, I then followed the instructions:
Disconnect your PSP from the computer, and leave USB mode.
-You should already have the eLoader and xLoader on your PSP, in the Photo section.
-You need to hold start on the eLoader for a few seconds, and open the PatchSFO Tool. Use that tool to patch your memory stick, most importantly the downgrader. This will allow you to use the xLoader to access it from the menu. Once you've patched, you can coldboot (restart) your PSP.
Again as I said in the start of this form, from here nothing happens, the psp does not do anything once I go into the photo menu, i go on to the eloader I hold start or press x all it does is show me the pic every single time???

yeah man!!!
its been like a year since i downgraded from 2.80 so im not sure how
but all i remmeber is that you clik on a pic and then ur able to run the downgraded

Its like this psp will not do anything jusrt brings up stuipd pic of the eloader thing thats it nuffin else :(
