im a muslim and i havent played assassins creed yet, but i heard you have to kill muslims in the game......is it true

Ive never played assasins creed before either, but by the looks of it, it doesnt look the type of game that you kill muslims. I think you may have got it mixed up with call of duty 4?

It was never intended to be religous. It was probably just the time period it was set in. No one hears people complaining because a video game character is killing christians. Where in the game does it specifically say that you are killing muslims? It is a video game and if there ever was any controversy about killing a specific religous group I'm sure it would have been pulled before release. I have played a good bit of Call of Duty 4 and have never heard the word muslim.

i dont think muslims is the right word for it bro. Im from Morocco so therefore im Muslim, i think Arabs is the right word. Eg a war game killing Germans is killing germans not christians. Yeah Cod4 IMO is against Muslims not just arabs, Americans killing arabs, arab names etc, then ukranians with muslim names which is neverheard of. But its only a game and online you are on different teams (arab, american, sas etc) no complaints from british or Americans when they are on the arab teams. Also my arab friend enjoyed it with no complaints so dont let that stop you buying it. its meant to be modern so who else could have it been against, but why ukranians lol. Assassins creed i thought was jewish people?

None of these games are intentionally racist in anyway...
Time periods/country wars etc determine pretty much who's getting shot at...

Its only a video game why is it that when someone make a movie about this stuff people call it a master piece but when a video game comes out people have a problem with it.We should not take video games seriously because its someone telling a story from there view point,Its to entertain thats all.

I haven't played it but I do know that it is a timepiece game. Therefore, whatever's going on in the game is a reflection of what happened back then (when does it take place, 1200?). It's not a big deal.
There's a game coming out (that looks great, by the way) where Nazis have taken over the world. Does that mean everyone that isn't a Nazi should be angry? No, it's just a game. I forget what it is, too, but it looks fantastic. It was in this month's PS magazine or the last PSM.

Its a game! Was meant to be a game and nothing more so don't make it out to be like its insinuating something bad. The game was set during the crusades and at any point in the game was the word "Muslim" was ever thrown around. There are various missions in the game which involves assassinating a person and that was it. It never once gave you the player a mission to assassinate a target because of what their religion is or what race they are. Also Ubisoft was classy enough to mention that the game was made by people from different background and religion. So to answer your question "NO!" the game does not specifically go after muslims. Sorry but I just hate it when people try to sensationalize somethings like a videogame and take it completely out of context. Its a game and nothing more and if you see it other than that then don't play any!
