I'm not really a newbie to burning DVD's, been doing it for a while but I ran into a dilemma. I unpacked a RAR file into an ISO that was 4,792MB and when I tried to burn it onto a DVD-R disc with NERO I got a message that the media only had 4,489MB available. Now I know this ISO is supposed to be burnable and yet I can't figure out how. Are there larger capacity DVD discs available? Mine are 4X DVD-R 4.7GB. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks - Cyberbach

My friend, u r going to need a double layer dvd-9 disc (preferably a dvd+r disc). Imgburn will burn it to the dvd-9 with no probs (imgburn was created with iso files in mind) free from www.imgburn.com

Your burner may not support DL, check and see. By the way, Verbatim is great media. You could use DVD Shrink to get the size down to DVD 5.

Pretty sure the drive will support it, it's a 52 X lightscribe that I just bought and installed earlier this year. I went ahead and ordered the Verbatim discs, I read a few reviews and they appear well rated. Thanks again for all your help, I feel very fortunate to have found this forum and someone to help me with my questions, thanks again, Cyberbach

i will try to use dvdshrink like mistycat mentioned
if u need to cut and clip
like
extrs(ifthere'sany)
or
logos and warnings in the beginging
now a days iam cutting allthat crap
guess what most of them will fit in dvd5
happy with it

Correct about DVD Shrink, many people only know about using it with DVD files or straight from the disc. It can be used with an .ISO also, click on FILE>Open Disc Image
