OK, I have used xbox backup creator, img burn, schtrom (all latest versions). I have purchased the samsung drive flashed with kroen firmware. I have purchased verbatim dvd +r dl disk. Everything reads / copies fine on the pc side. When I try to play the game in my HITACHI 360 drive it wont load. I burn at 2.4 and 4 speed. I change all setting for layer breaks etc. Games will play in a mates SAMSUNG drive but not my HITACHI. PLEASE HELP. One forum mentioned that you cannot rip your games straight from the disk. As I own the original game, this is how I have tried to copy. Stealth rip or add a patch????

also the hitachi lasers are known to SUCK! i have one and have had the 20 min game reading troubles.....but then i tweaked the laser intensity pot on the laser, and now it reads retail games like a breeze, but sometimes gives me troubles on backed up games.....but still works.

i had my 360 modded for like 2 months before i found out my laser is the issue...i might replace it and get another one off ebay...

but the 1st thing i would do is the laser tweak its

if your using hitachi drive then turn off splitvid option in xbc as some hitachis seem to not wanna play the disc with it on dont know why, and also are you setting the booktype to dvdrom what dual layer dvd writer have you got if its a pioneer then it does it automtically,
