1) You have Official Sony firmware. You can't do anything on it: ISOs, homebrew...
2) If (by using Pandora's Battery) you get to a CFW, download the eLoader 1.00 by Newbz to play homebrew.
If you want a guide on how to use Pandora's Battery to get to a CFW, here's a good one: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254

Yeah but making one is cheaper - your decision.
And next time DON'T upgrade to a Sony official firmware!

Yeah, you need Pandora's Battery to downgrade (check at the previous posts in this thread).

It's not that it's just that battery has to be a Fat PSP one not a Slim one because the Slim batteries aren't compatible with Pandora's Battery.

my friend has a phat psp actually, i have a few questions...
-what do i have to have him check to make sure this can be done?
-could i kill his psp up by doing this?
-do i have to open his battery to make it a pandora battery and if so -can he reuse it or shuld i just buy him a new one?
-what do you mean by firmware 1.50 or cfw? i will call him now to see what firmware he has.

To see if it works with Pandora, it has to be firmware 1.50 or any CFW. If it's not, tell him to upgrade to a CFW if he can.
No, you can't kill a PSP
No, you don't have to open his battery. All you have to do is use some simple software.
Anymore questions? Ask them here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254

Use it if you don't know anyone with a CFW or 1.50 firmware PSP!!!
NOTE: this guide requires you to open your battery.
my psp slim battery would be have to be opened you mean? or do i need a phat psp battery which is a 1800 or 2200 mah because slim batteries are 1200mah........
heres what that guide says.
OK, so this guide is to help you create the Pandora's Battery without a CFW enabled PSP.
Requirements:
The TotalNewi Easy Installer.Click here.
A FAT PSP battery.
A memory stick PRO duo - Over 128MB but under 2GB.
Patience.

Yeah but you can't close the battery compartment because the PSP Slim battery cover is too small but it'll work.
And no, a Fat PSP battery cover won't work with a Slim PSP.
