Upgrading 3.52 M33 - Stays on Black Screen

I have attempted to upgrade from 3.52 M33 to either of the m33-2 or 4 patches for m33 to eventually get to 3.71-m33.

Problem example: When I run the update m33-4 after placing it in my /PSP/GAME150 folder the PSP screen goes blank like it's going to install but does nothing. I let it stay there for 2 minutes and then have to hard boot it.

Anyone know what the problem might be so I can upgrade past this version?

For those who experienced this issue make sure your power plug is not connected with trying to upgrade your PSP. I unplugged it and the upgrade worked!!
