AVI's Not working pls help

hey i have these avi files on my computer and well when i turn on my computer i can generally view one. however, when i try to view anohter file of similar formating i get this error C00D11B1 in windows media player. However this only happnes on this type of avi. not all avi files. and i can generally always play 1 then not play the rest.

any suggestions cause it is really annoying

try installing ffdshow and see if that works
