i was speaking to another senior member on this forum on another thread and he helped me a great deal, but i didn't want to keep bugging him...-=)

he told me in order to get m33 3.71 on my psp slim which has ver 3.72 i can either go out and buy a 1800mah battery and remove the 5th pin and do everything here.

OR

i can borrow my friends phat psp and so this:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254!
plus i need to backup eeprom.bin on his battery so it goes back to normal.

these are my questions:
1. i have 1 gb mem stick that i will use for all of this, is it useable after i format it and back it up after i am done downgrading...

2. what can potentially happen to my buddies old phat psp? i still have to find out what version firmware he has also.

3. what is cory149 and jokers menu? it says something about it on that website. http://psp-maxconsole.blogspot.com/2007/...m-slimp_31.html

ADDITION 1 FOR SLIM USERS

Open Source Pandora Battery Tool For 3.xx by: cory149
This will create your Pandora Battery on 3.xx FW.
NOTE: You still need a Phat battery.
Get files here: http://www.divshare.com/download/2506322-0ed
1) Boot to XMB and connect to USB.
2) Copy the ospbt folder from the download and place it in your PSP/GAME folder.
3) Run O.S. Pandora battery Tool from XMB.
THE NOT SO QUICK FIX FOR JOKER's MENU

Yes u can reuse the memory stick after the downgrading, you just have to reformat the memory stick, nothing will happen to ur friend's fat PSP because it only creates a Jigkick battery, it doesn't change anything in the system, the firmware of the fat psp has to be custom or 1.50. And in my opinion, i thinks its better to just borrow ur friends PSP
